The First Carrier Standard for Lithium Battery Materials is Officially Released!

Recently, the standard "Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) cores for Power Battery Separators of New Energy Vehicles" (hereinafter referred to as "the Standard", Standard No.: T/CPPIA56-2025), led by our company and jointly formulated by multiple separator industrial chain enterprises including Jiangsu Xingyuan New Materials Co., Ltd., Suzhou Hexin New Materials Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Senior Technology Material Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Dazhongnan Vientiane Technology Co., Ltd., has passed the review and been officially released
The issuance of this Standard fills the gap in domestic product standards for this specific field, and is of great significance for ensuring the production volume of power battery separators and enhancing the stability and competitiveness of the industrial chain and supply chain.

Previously, the industry lacked unified technical specifications for ABS cores dedicated to power battery separators, resulting in inconsistent product quality, which might become a potential bottleneck restricting the production of separators and even high-end batteries. As a key winding cores that carries and winds separator substrates during power battery separator production, the dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties, surface quality, and cleanliness of ABS cores play a crucial role in the production efficiency and finished product quality of ultra-thin and high-strength separators.

The release and implementation of this Standard will provide clear product production and quality inspection basis for cores manufacturers, and reliable procurement and technical acceptance guidelines for separator manufacturers, effectively promoting the standardization and consistency of product quality. This not only helps reduce losses and failure rates in the separator production process, improve yield and production efficiency, but also provides a solid guarantee for manufacturing higher-performance, safer, and more reliable power batteries from the raw material end, ultimately promoting the overall quality improvement, upgrading, and high-quality development of China's new energy vehicle industrial chain.
